The first big event of 2011 was the Mindess Ski Club. Which meant that Seth and Tate got to go to Nashoba Valley to ski every Wednesday afternoon after school with the Ski Club. This seemed an impossible thing to me - how can they possibly keep track of their coats/hats/gloves/ski pants/goggles/skis/poles/boots/SKI boots/$5 for food etc. etc. etc. when they can't even keep track of their LUNCHBOXES? Well, they did it. They got dressed all on their own, they skied, no one died or even got hurt. They rode that bus there and (most importantly) back. And they learned so much.

Our next big event was the Pinewood Derby, which means a lot of work, anticipation, and then a bit of a let-down when their cars don't win the big prize. But heats were won, and these cars were cool.
Seth's car was shaped like a #2 Pencil (love it!). Look at Seth leaping like that!

Tate's was a cool, blue racing car.

Acknowledged: I didn't get good shots of the cars. I didn't even get good shots of the boys. But I really didn't get good shots of the cars.

Random Shot: I love this picture of Walker reading the family reunion photo album Grandma and Grandpa sent to us:

We had our Winter Birthdays:
Seth turned 10 - DOUBLE DIGITS!
He was sick, so we cut the cake first and put all of his candles on his slice. Then we made him put back on his face mask (kidding).

This guy turned 3!!!

And got to party at Build-A-Bear with his cousins (and Katherine):

Can't believe I didn't get any pictures of Doug's 40th birthday!!! I was totally sick on the couch. He went and turned 40 anyway.
The very sad thing is that the above sentence is totally incorrect. Doug turned 41 this year. He let me know gently after he read this post. I am losing it. Doesn't help that he still gets to look 27.
We also had a LOT of snow this year. Way too much of it. Made us wish we had either hired out our plowing, or bought a MUCH bigger snowblower. Or both. It was that bad.

Doug brought these home for me one night when it was obvious the snow, the kids, the whatever was getting to me...

Seth and Tate weren't the only ones who skied. Max did...

And look who else did...

And finally, Tate got to play some real basketball (finally!)...

Whew! It is hard to condense three months into one post! But there you have it. Definitely short on details and pics, but jotted down anyway.
