Grandma and Walker took a lot of walks around the neighborhood, collecting pinecones. He met lots of people, who kept giving him treats. Happy camper.

Walker was hesitant at first, but quickly became a fan. One of his favorite phrases was "Where is the Rhino?"

Grandpa bribed them by offering rides if they helped load the split wood on the back of the Rhino. Then they would drive it down the hill to the wood pile.

Living in New England we like to brag about our fall foliage, but the leaves were beautiful! They were brilliant yellow and orange. Stunning.

Grandpa and Dad chopped a lot of wood for the fire pit. The boys were ecstatic to hold a real ax and help out. Don't ask me why they aren't this happy to make beds or clean a bathroom. Jeesh.

We saw a LOT of deer. All over the place. 20, 30, 40 at a time. Same with elks. Entire herds, right there in front of your eyes. We heard hunting season was officially starting soon. Not sure how I feel about that, seeing how beautiful they are. But on the other hand, there were a lot of them.
